I had a weigh in at my gym yesterday with their super fancy scale.

Over the last 2 months, I have GAINED 4 pounds… of MUSCLE

Fuck yeah!!

This is why I don’t freak out by what is on the scale and focus on my habits and how my body is changing. I wish more girls could realize that the number on the scale doesn’t always accurately show your progress. Unless you have a super fancy scale that can determine your muscle mass and fat percentage, like the one at my gym, you won’t be getting a clear picture. So don’t stress it.

Even though I am heavier: I look better, I feel stronger, my clothes fit better, and I have more confidence.

Just keep moving forward.

This really shows the true spirit of the Olympic games. Turkish runner Merve Aydin injured herself during an 800m heat, but still carried on a whole lap visibly in excruciating pain before limping over the finish line and falling to the floor in tears to the cheers of 80,000 fans in the Olympic stadium. Respect

I am moving a lot of my fitness post to my personal blog

I really don’t use this blog much anymore.

I have become really open about my fitness and weight loss goals with family and friends (and everyone else for that matter). Doing this, it has simply become a part of who I am. It’s something that feels natural in my life and I don’t feel like I need to have 2 separate blogs for the different posts.

My personal blog also has a LOT of post about soccer, travel, art, and anything I find funny. I will be keeping this, but if you want to have a more regular updates and posting about my fitness journey, it will be on my personal blog.
